Two days until moving day! We take off on the 12th and there seems to be so much left to do, but we’re making good progress!
We are so grateful to everyone who has helped spread the word, donate, and offer other kinds of support. We would be nowhere without you.
One supporter was kind enough to let us use their FedEx discount to help us get the last of our boxes shipped for less than what we were paying at the post office. Those packages are being picked up today, and the rest of what we couldn’t sell or give away will be donated to a thrift store in the afternoon.
That being said, every penny went towards the shipping, so now we literally have nothing in the bank. We have a two hour layover during our flight leaving the state and need to be able to access actual food that isn’t just snacks.
Additionally, we won’t have SNAP when we arrive at our destination and will need to go grocery shopping.
Any funds donated will go towards groceries, travel funds, and things like dishes as we aren’t bringing our old ones, but have disposable ones for the first few weeks. We also have to cover Internet when it’s installed on the 18th. Fortunately, it’s cheaper there than in Seattle and is only $65. We’ve already put a down payment on it so it will be $40.
I know this is a lot of information, but I’m trying to be as clear as possible so you know where everything is going.
The fundraiser will close at the end of July.
